Trust and transparency

Our verification methodology

A hotel qualifies because a specific room or suite has useful outdoor-space evidence, not because the property has a public terrace.

How hotels are selected

We focus on upscale London stays relevant to balcony, terrace, river-view and private outdoor-space searches. Public rooftop bars alone do not qualify as private-room evidence.

What a source check establishes

A dated source check establishes only the exact room name and wording recorded from that source. It does not guarantee availability, allocation, privacy, view or unchanged wording at checkout.

Review cycle

High-intent hotel and category pages should be rechecked after source changes and on a scheduled editorial cycle. Each accepted update changes the last-checked date.

Commercial independence

Affiliate relationships do not determine inclusion, certainty labels or ranking. Unclear evidence is downgraded even when a commercial link exists.

Content provenance

Published guides and policy pages identify a review date and source basis. Hotel pages retain room-level source URLs and verification dates. Material changes should update the relevant review date rather than silently preserving an older timestamp.

Media rights

Hotel-specific photography is published only when a local asset has a manifest record, source URL, creator, licence or permission basis, usage scope and rights-review date. Unknown-rights media should remain unpublished and use a labelled placeholder instead.
